An authentic local capture of the cartridge. The visual guides below explain the decisions to look for.
Tank puts a small battlefield on Karpi Brick's 10-by-20 display. Turn toward an enemy, fire with the red key, and move out of incoming shell lanes. Your tank can keep only one of its own shells on the board at a time, so a clear shot matters.
Turning and moving are separate moments
A directional input first turns the tank if it is facing another way. An input in the direction it already faces moves it when the space is free. This distinction explains why an urgent tap can rotate the sprite without immediately shifting its position. Learn the barrel direction before attempting close escapes.

The barrel determines the shot
FIRE sends a shell along the direction the tank faces. It does not automatically target the nearest enemy. Line up the barrel with a useful lane, then shoot. The one-shell limit means repeated presses cannot fill the screen with friendly fire. While a shell travels, use the time to watch enemies and prepare the next position.
The tank occupies more than its barrel
The sprite covers a three-by-three area. A gap that looks clear for a single dot may not be clear for the whole vehicle. Check the body when moving around enemies and shells. Staying aware of that footprint is especially useful near the edges, where you have fewer directions available for the next escape.

Learn the goal before fighting everything
PLAY is an endless run; JOURNEY offers twelve stages with destroy-count or survival goals and two extras. FIRST SHOT asks for three enemy tanks. Later stages add accuracy, time and life-loss conditions. Read the card so you know whether the current attempt calls for fast attacks, careful aiming or simply staying alive.
A first exchange without chasing the target
Imagine your tank is facing up near its starting area and an enemy approaches in the same firing lane. With no friendly shell already active, FIRE sends a shot along that barrel direction. You can watch whether the enemy remains in its path while also reading any hostile shell coming back. If you decide to move right, the first right input turns the tank; a following right input moves it one cell when the destination is free.
That sequence contains two separate plans: where the shot travels and where your tank will be afterward. You do not need to follow your own projectile toward the enemy. A missed shot continues along its original direction even if you turn elsewhere. On FIRST SHOT, three destructions complete the goal, with extras for no life lost and finishing within 60 seconds. Practise three readable exchanges before trying to make them fast. A controlled shot followed by a clean exit teaches more than holding every button at once.
Check the failure before changing the strategy
A shot in the wrong direction points to barrel alignment. No second shot while your first is visible points to the one-shell limit. A direction input that rotates without moving is normal when the facing changes. A repeated movement that goes nowhere can mean the three-by-three movement footprint meets an enemy or the board edge. These are different causes, so they need different corrections. Start by identifying which state you saw; pressing FIRE harder will not fix a blocked route or a tank facing sideways.
A focused practice attempt
On an early level, deliberately turn, observe the barrel and then fire. Between shots, watch the nearest enemy shell rather than repeatedly pressing the action key. If a hit surprises you, identify whether the problem was facing, movement timing or the tank's wider footprint.
