Jadeja's 2023 Final: Ten Off Two, Then Six and Four

The story behind Ravindra Jadeja's 2023 finish, plus a 10-from-2 RapidCricket challenge, real game images and a practical replay guide.

RapidCricket recreation of Ravindra Jadeja's 2023 scenario, starting at 10 runs from 2 balls

Game recreation captured locally; this is not an archival match photograph.

Ten runs from two balls leaves very little room for a merely decent shot. Ravindra Jadeja answered with six and four in the 2023 IPL final, turning Mohit Sharma's final two deliveries into Chennai's fifth title.

What happened in the real match

Gujarat Titans made 214 for four before rain reduced Chennai Super Kings' chase to fifteen overs. The final reached its sharpest point with ten needed from two. Jadeja hit Mohit for six and then four, completing a five-wicket victory under the DLS method. The title was Chennai's fifth. A long, rain-disrupted final ultimately narrowed to two contacts that produced exactly the runs required. IPL's official 2023 final report.

Historical summary: Rain-shortened chase; Jadeja: six, then four; Chennai's fifth title

The first boundary determines the second problem

Without extras, two fours total only eight. A ten-run target from two balls therefore requires at least one six in a conventional boundary pair. Six then four and four then six both meet the arithmetic, but they leave different final-ball demands. This is why the first shot deserves a plan of its own rather than being treated as a warm-up for the famous last delivery.

Ravindra Jadeja scenario equation: 10 from 2; Two boundaries are not enough unless their values add up.

Step into the game scenario

The recreation starts at the ten-from-two moment. Choose a direction from the field and wait for the first ball's arrival. If you hit six, the remaining four-run task can invite a different shot selection; if you hit four, you still need the maximum. LOFT is available, but it is not a six guarantee. Timing and the ball's path still decide what happens.

The left controls choose leg, straight or off; the right controls choose defend, drive or loft. The brief shows your equipped bat against the scenario's rating. A lower-rated bat can make a demanding boundary target harder, so use that information when judging a missed attempt. The numbers in the table are the game's starting conditions; its lives, delivery sequence and progression are not a historical scorecard.

Replay the scenario and call the new requirement immediately after the first ball. Compare attempts by whether the second shot matched that requirement, even when the first shot was imperfect.

Try this finish: Play the Ravindra Jadeja scenario. If it is ahead of your career progress, the link opens an exhibition: you use your own bat and kit, and it does not advance the career or award diamonds. An already-open stage follows normal career rules.
